A good picture of Justin prospecting for steelhead on his first trip to OR. I was looking through some old pictures with Elia today, and just really liked this shot.
You know, despite not touching a fish (I think I had one bump) I have really fond memories of that day. The setting was the key. We were not far from my house, but the river was so peaceful. Normally I get bored swinging flies, but that day was just a nice, quiet time on the river. It was fun to make some long, graceful casts.

I love this series of pictures - especially because you can see the fly line and its various positions.
You were just hoping I'd fall in though... camera was at the ready for that I think.
