Here are some great shots taken by Scott on the way to Spokane. I hooked up briefly with this fish, but couldn't hold him. It won't be long now!

That spot gets blasted by west winds, so I save it for calm days or easterly days. Hard to sneak down there. Usually nothing huge. Did you find any bass?

Those are great shots. You were fortunate to find a carp to fish to... nothing going around here right now - everything is either iced over or blown out. I can't wait to see a feeding carp.

Durant is a stud, doubt he will stick around for another year!
Great writings about the legend of Dora. I bet it is pretty cool seeing your daughter so excited about catching fishies.
You know Bartlett, if we would have cut girl time in half and spent it on fishing, I'd be able to go fishing with Justin now and hold my own.

marcus, there are VERY few people that can hold their own with justin. i can outfish him for carp and here in OR, but on his home waters, he's pretty tough. you should get out and fish with him, you guys would have fun. come to OR sometime and i'll take you out and anna and kelly can do whatever girls do.

paul, no bass, but i was encouraged by that one carp in the shallows. soon....

Beautiful pictures!! I'm new to chasing carp on the fly but our Lake Erie and Ontario tribs stack up with them in the summer. I'm excited to apply what I have learned from your blog and others this August. Again ....GREAT STUFF!
