It won't be long now boys and girls! This pretty little 22 lber was the first big fish of 2008, caught in Mid April. My hopes for an early season are waning with each weather report, but any way you look at it...days on the flats are just around the corner! Maybe I can find some slobs like this girl?

For the record, I saw a tailer on Sunday. It won't be long now!

I don't know who's more excited, you for getting to fish to tailers in '09, or us for getting to read about your exploits. good luck John

I had yours beat if he would have taken it!! I know where he lives and since I fully intend to fish more for carp this year, it will be a battle to see who catches the largest one! The Reel John Montana

How did I miss that?

Is there the possibility for a 40-pounder? What happens then?

40 lber will be caught on the fly someday...i've seen fish that i'm guessing were in that size range. I've cast at fish that i'm guessing were in that size range, and I've hooked fish that I'm guessing were in that size range.

There are some pigs out here.

I was driving in the cold rain in the Gorge today and while looking at one of the ponds trapped by the Railroad tracks I saw a big slab of gold jump two feet out of the water!!!! It was a good reminder that it won't be long!!!
