Just got this picture from Justin. Love the look of this spot. I can just picture bass, panfish, northerns, and carp cruising in and out of the weeds...nice.
Of all the lakes I've been to, this is my favorite. I trek back to it every year - always solo and with no canoe. I've waded around much of it... I even brought a float tube back there once! Funny, because I paddled all around the lake and never caught a damn thing until I got back to the spots that I usually wade - at which I proceed to catch one smallie after another. The first one I caught slammed a deer hair diver that I was absent mindedly dragging behind the float tube as I paddled to shore - I was ready to give it up... that was a great night. It's a 20 minute walk after a 10 minute paddle from our camp.
